[closed-ish?] behold: a catchall post

Who: Ochako, Rin, Todoroki, Deku, and... you, maybe? Idk y'all, just let me know if you want to do something with this girl.

[When Ochako sent Rin a quick PM to ask about training, she was sure that they'd find a time to meet in the next week or so. A week, however, was apparently too long to wait, and so here she is, running to the well just as quickly as she can a mere hour after sending her initial message.

If Rin is already waiting for her, he gets to laugh as he watches her sprint down the street; if he shows up a bit later, he gets to find her sitting in front of the well, trying desperately to catch her breath. Either way, Rin, let's get this show on the road!]

[Lobsters: What do they dream of? What do they eat?

Well, at least Shouto and Ochako know the answer to the second question. That's why she's standing right beside the well, her trusty net slung over one shoulder as she waits patiently for her newest friend—how exciting!!—to arrive. Adopting a pet is a huge responsibility, and they're both prepared to do what must be done.

And that... is fishing. They're going fishing together. Huzzah.]

[Deku may think that he has his friends fooled, but Ochako sees right through that weak façade of his. Every time he smiles, every time he laughs—something just seems off, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to pinpoint the cause.

And that, of course, is why Ochako is paying him this unannounced visit. She's standing right in front of his very cute cottage, holding a large—and oddly buoyant—pot with both hands as she gently knocks her foot against the door.]

Deku-kun! Are you there?

[Spoiler alert: She knows that you are.]

[Why is Ochako at the general store? Y'all, I don't even know. The caffeine is starting to wear off.

ACTUALLY: Thanks to her household's latest addition—a bright blue lobster, for the curious—Ochako has been searching all over town for an undamaged fish tank. It's proving to be quite the challenge, but inspiration strikes just when she needs it the most. The general store might have one! Or it might have... something useful, at least, and that is why she's currently poking her head through the front door. Anyone home? Oh, wait, take a look at that... very familiar figure rummaging about in the corner. She instantly perks right up.]

Caramia!

[Hello, Lion Dad. Now Ochako is rushing right over to you, a bright smile plastered on her face.]

[In the hours immediately following their return from the forest, there hadn't been much time for the two girls to talk. Ochako had waved at Momo in passing, and said a quick word of greeting when they both walked through the front door, but other than that—nothing. They were both too tired and too busy to sit around and chat.

But something about the look on her friend's face troubles Ochako, and so, just before turning in for the night, she heads over to Momo's room and knocks on the door.]

Can I come in?

[Why are these two so pure? Who knows? But here is Ochako, knocking on Okuyasu's front door—as usual—while holding her last two oranges. She did spend her morning training, and it would be refreshing to eat both of them, but do you know what's better than eating two delicious treats? Eating one delicious treat and sharing the other one with a friend.]

Okuyasu! You're here, right? Let's go do something!

[It was a good sparring match, okay. She's Pumped!!]

[Nanjo doesn't seem thrilled with the idea of keeping a lobster as a pet, but Ochako is certain that he'll come around. ...One day. That's why she's invited him over to her cozy home in Ruga! Once he sees her happy little Delaware (yes, that's seriously the lobster's name, blame Deku), he'll surely want a lobster pet of his own.

So come on, Nanjo! Ochako is sitting on her front steps, waiting for you to make your grand entrance.]

[Ochako is always happy to help, especially when the person she's helping only wants to eat a few oranges. She definitely has more than her fair share, and so... here she is, sitting on her front step as she waits for yet another friend to arrive. At least it's a nice day...]

[While waiting for Minato, Ochako gathers up all of the dresses she's found and stacks them neatly on her bed. There aren't many—three, to be exact—but they're the best ones she's seen. And yes, they're all long, grey, and ugly, but Ochako is sure that Minato will be able to help her fix that. She believes in him.

Which is why as soon as she hears that knock, she flies right down the stairs and excitedly throws open the door. Hello, Minato! You may be preternaturally calm, but it's okay. Ochako is clearly happy enough for both of you.]

Minato-kun! Thank you again for coming over!

[As nice as it is to have a roommate who can create almost anything, it doesn't feel right to ask for things and offer nothing in return. This is why Ochako is once again standing by the weird-looking harbor in Bluo, net slung over one shoulder as she peers intently out into the distance. It might be riskier, but if she throws her net really, really far out then she might be able to catch something new, right? Something... tastier?

Well, there's only one way to find out! She's just going to take that net off her shoulder and swing it right back behind her. Hopefully there's no one nearby—]

[It's a day that ends in a "y," and so here is Ochako, once again slinging her trusty fishing net out into the unsettling-looking harbor... but hauling absolutely nothing back to the surface. Zip. Zilch. Nada. She pulls her net back to her, giving it a thorough inspection before tossing it out there once more. This has to be it, right?

Nope! As the net surfaces, it's clear that it is, once again, devoid of anything edible. Huh. Ochako just stares at it for a moment, making sure there are no holes before huffing in frustration.]

What is going on? Am I doing something wrong?

[Well, someone's pouty! But only because no one is around!]

[So, there's no denying the past week has treated most people pretty terribly. Okuyasu, for his part, has elected to spend most of his time not going very far, to avoid getting tripped by his shadow, and has gotten incredibly good at twisting around to smack it in its stupid flat face with his soothing touch when it acts up. So it's been tedious—but nothing bad has happened to him, really... Enough staunch refusal to respond has kept the shadow from gaining any real leverage over him this past week.

"Sit still and don't make any noise" may very well be something he learned from his considerably rough childhood, but let's not dwell on that—he makes it through unscathed! But considering the conversations he has had this week have been distressing at best - Nanjo almost died?? goddamn - his first act as a man free of shadow harassment is to march into Ruga to check up on Ochako.

He knocks, for real, he does, but then counts to five (more like two) and just walks right in, looking around. There's no time for patience here!!]

Oi, Ochako! [and now: shouting] Where are you? No screwing around!

[He's not mad, this is just how he sounds at higher volumes. Hellooooo!!]
