Joshua is, to be fair, very good at going unnoticed. It's part and parcel of the assassin skillset. And he's not seeing any particular reason to be noisy as he starts to pass, stops, and considers.
His footsteps are quiet as he approaches. ]

Sorry! You took me by surprise. [Such an understatement. She offers him a small, slightly nervous smile.] And... I am, I guess. I think the fish are sleeping in this morning!

[ Sometimes he just kind of forgets?
Oh well. If she doesn't want to dwell on it, he doesn't either, so he just crouches at the edge of the dock and looks at her net. ]
We might be a little close to shore to get much with a net. They work best when you can get close to where the fish are already hanging out.
[ Usually that'd be offshore, but looking at the condition of the boats here...not a great plan, at least not before they've done some serious repairs. ]
