I think the forest as a whole could be sentient. [ and he doesn't find this too weird because homestuck??? ] Things seemed to kinda...I dunno, change.

[ he's angling to fly to the edge of the forest though. ]

As long as it doesn't start talking too we should be in good shape. What do you mean change though? [Up up and away to the forest they go.]

The path kinda...closed up behind us. It felt like we were being led around by the nose.

Like maybe we aren't supposed to be in the woods?

I mean. Even if that were the case we are absolutely going there right now, so...

Yeah. [And they arrive because they fly faster than John notices sometimes, so he hovers in front of the entrance to the woods.] How far did you and Keith really go anyway?

Far. We both needed something to do and anyway there wasn't any way to go back once we started. [ but dave steps into the woods again without hesitation even so. ]

Sounds like a pain. [He follows along, floating a few inches off the ground but keeping up with Dave's pace. ] But he seems pretty restless, too. If there are cliffs they will be on the outside edges I bet.

We share some similarities I guess. [ dead, want to feel not useless,and keith thinks his friends are fine without him. the color red. ] I'd rather be reckless with him than him be reckless alone.

I can understand that sentiment. [Given it's how he currently feels about Dave, yeah. Through the woods they go.] I think it helps that we are meeting people we can team up with for various things. I don't think any of us should be too reckless here right now.

I've thought about that, too. The really shitty part is we do not even know how to find out what works and what doesn't until we test it, and I am not sure I want to test that theory just yet.

It ain't a thing we should consider testing. The fail option's kinda fuckin' final.

That looks bird-esque. [ or at least dave wants to go up there and that's...probably an indicator, as he is bird-themed... ] I kinda wanna go up even if it ain't.

[The harpy squawks angrily and John follows up, moving to smash the bird over the head and into the rocky cliffside to bring it down.] You are probably not wrong. Keep cutting the wings, that seems to work.
