Hm...I'm sure there will be someone willing to try!
[She's made plenty of friends that have been more than willing to go along with her shenanigans. When they're far enough into the forest she pulls out Minamoto's cellphone from her pocket.]
...it feels a bit weird for me to be doing this. [But also sort of exciting? She's always wanted to try doing this!]
[Shiho doesn't have to close her eyes but she does it right now anyway for effect, opening them once the limiter is released. Now, time to find some sheep!!]
This way, Kaoru-chan.
[She points, expecting to be picked up because Kaoru spoils her way too much. Also because who walks through forests really.]
[They will have to make a stop eventually so she can reorient herself but for now, Shiho lets Kaoru steer, one hand on her skirt to make sure it doesn't fly anywhere.
Once they're near a stand of trees though, Shiho gives Kaoru's sleeve a tug.]
Down there. Watch out though, I think one of them breathes fire. [At least shearing that one would be easiest? Though Kaoru would (inevitably) have to hold its mouth closed. Hopefully it doesn't......uh......blow up.]
[So, she hasn't really done one of these DEFEAT THE MIDBOSS quests. And of course, she's going to grab a power up before she goes. So excuse her humming when they first walk into the forest.
She was, as usual in these situations, in her uniform but she was walking with her feet on the ground for this quest. Hey, he was going to see her using her powers if it turns into a fight but that was a different matter altogether!]
[If Ling looks a touch more frazzled and exhausted than the last time they spoke, well—it's not actually all thanks to the punishment the town has dished out to him, ironically enough. He's dealing with it by not bringing it up, anyway, but every now and then he looks distracted, before perking back up and hustling to keep up with her.
Time to learn about Psychic Powers... he's got a sword? That's something, right?]
Deep. [....ehhh] The last time I was in here, fairies tried to kill me... Deeper than that.
[Right. Riiiight. Sure you are, Ling. Sure. And Kaoru's hair is green.]
The timing is pretty suspicious...but we get these quests every month. Besides, one of the previous quest gave out whole boxes of coloured food as a reward!
[And she eats a lot, okay? This isn't temptation, this is life or death!
Either way, she does agree that they'll probably need to go deeper in the forest so...guess that's what's happening now!]
[Shearing sheep was one of Mahmut's (many) special skills. After all, their people had been known as the conquerors who marched along their sheep once.
Though, admittedly, he usually had all the right tools. And the sheep weren't usually invisible.]
Hopefully, the sheep aren't mutants as well. I'm confident I can shear it without hurting it even in these circumstances if they're calm. But if they have extra limbs that I can't see it is another matter altogether.
[ it's a good thing he knows, because zelda's experience is... none. she's seen people sheer sheep before, but that's about the extent of her great wisdom. ]
That would be troublesome. I wonder how they maintain their invisibility. Perhaps we can find a way to see them that doesn't require actually seeing them. Though regardless, our duty remains the same.
...You will have to be my tutor once more. I don't know anything about sheering.
[He's just a weird overachiever in addition to being from the sort of culture he came from.
Though he hadn't even for one moment wondered about why they were invisible and didn't understand why such a question would matter. But as to whether or not they could see them...
He put a hand to his chin and thought.]
Perhaps if we threw mud on them? Or perhaps some paint. Something that would make them visible to us?
[He shrugged.]
Where I come from, children begin to learn by observing then they are allowed to participate as they grow older. It is easy enough to learn if you just pay attention.
[And she's observant! And hardworking. Despite the fact that he wasn't being what most would consider nice about it, he actually had no doubts that she'd pick it up if needed.]
Sometimes all it takes it patience. [ and she has more than enough experience in patience, of all things. she grins readily. ] I say we throw ourselves in and see what happens. Invisible or not... they're just sheep yes? What could possibly go wrong?
I'm used to courting disasters then. [ she smiles a little wry and gives the ground a look over. it doesn't take long to spot hooves prints in the ground, small and cloven, clear sign of their target. ] I found a trail. I'm not sure how far it goes, but lets see.
[ and with that she follows, because time's wasting. ]
[He nods after taking a look at the tracks.] Let's go.
[He's following too and the trail leads to a clearing. Where it disappears beneath some thicker grass. But hey, you know what's great? If he pays attention to the grass he can see where there's a parting in the grass where the sheep are standing.]
It is best to grab them under their jaw and tip their head back. Then we just have to tip them and we should be able to keep them still.
[Since he was sure the usual vocal commands they use back in Turkieye wouldn't work here.]
If you could? [ because she would have no sense of how to do that on a sheep, let alone an invisible one. ] It'd help me learn if I watch you. I think I could handle the shearing.
Shiho: Quest 12, After 06/11
Hey, if we make a sweater out of invisible wool will we become invisible when we wear it or would it just look like we're not wearing anything?
no subject
[Though she has to actually knit that sweater first.]
Maybe we could get someone to try it out. [Like. Kirishima or something.]
no subject
Hm...I'm sure there will be someone willing to try!
[She's made plenty of friends that have been more than willing to go along with her shenanigans. When they're far enough into the forest she pulls out Minamoto's cellphone from her pocket.]

no subject
Maybe we should have borrowed a pair of glasses from someone first?
no subject
[Except Iida-kun but that's not possible. She enters the passcode Shiho had figured out once she got her psychometry back and found the app.]
Sannomiya Shiho--Limiter release! [And when she swipes her finger over the screen she does it with a flourish because why wouldn't she?]
no subject
This way, Kaoru-chan.
[She points, expecting to be picked up because Kaoru spoils her way too much. Also because who walks through forests really.]
no subject
All right! Let's go!
[And of course, Kaoru's going to oblige by picking them both up. And flying them in the direction Shiho's pointing.]
no subject
Once they're near a stand of trees though, Shiho gives Kaoru's sleeve a tug.]
Down there. Watch out though, I think one of them breathes fire. [At least shearing that one would be easiest? Though Kaoru would (inevitably) have to hold its mouth closed. Hopefully it doesn't......uh......blow up.]

Where are they, exactly? And don't worry, I dealt with a goose that breathed fire last month, I know how to handle this!

Ling: Quest 13
She was, as usual in these situations, in her uniform but she was walking with her feet on the ground for this quest. Hey, he was going to see her using her powers if it turns into a fight but that was a different matter altogether!]
Where do you think this thing is going to be?
no subject
Time to learn about Psychic Powers... he's got a sword? That's something, right?]
Deep. [....ehhh] The last time I was in here, fairies tried to kill me... Deeper than that.
no subject
...you have got to tell me that fairy story.
[And swords were helpful! Shiho used one once and she had been formidable! And adorable!]
Last time I went to explore in the forest I nearly got eaten by a banshee...that hadn't been fun at all.
[...why were they willingly coming into the forest again? Oh right. Quests.]
no subject
Weren't we just told to resist temptation, and now these quests show up? Admittedly, that's not the strategy I would use to convince people.
[Look at them, doing something stupid for Rewards.]
no subject
The timing is pretty suspicious...but we get these quests every month. Besides, one of the previous quest gave out whole boxes of coloured food as a reward!

Food... Well, how bad can it be? I'm feeling good about it!
[Now he is, for the sake of getting food.]
no subject
[You're too easy to motivate, Ling...but then again, so is she.]
I wonder what they meant by defeat...? Do we need to kick his ass or something?
[At least no fog is rolling in like when she explored the forest with Kirishima and Joshua. There's a bit of relief in that!]
no subject
That's usually what defeat means. What else could we be doing? Winning an argument?

Patience and perseverance.
[What could go wrong indeed. He doesn't laugh, exactly but there's a wry twist to his smile.]
I believe some would say that asking that is the same as courting disaster.
[His gaze is fixed more on the ground now.] We should look for tracks first. Even if they're invisible they should still leave traces when they walk.
