WHERE: Around the town!
WHEN: Throughout August
WHAT: training, feeding people, making friends, and probably quests later
WARNINGS: None for now!
A. Training
[After his brush with the creature in the forest going incredibly wrong, Izuku throws himself back into training, knowing that he has to get stronger and be able to hold his own in similar fights. Guren isn't going to conveniently be there to take a hit for him every time he's in danger, and he shouldn't have to be.
And so, anyone passing by the edge of the forest near Flavo might see Izuku training in the open space, wearing a dark grey tank top that doesn't cover the many obvious scars on his arms for once. They'll find him sitting on the ground, eyes closed, as green energy sparks over his skin. Instead of looking relaxed, though, he's clearly shaking from the effort of keeping his quirk activated at this level. There's even a pained sort of grimace on his face.]
B. Sharing the goods
[Being able to grab some things from the portals means that Izuku had access to a lot of things that he hasn't been able to in a while. Of course, that means...making sweets and sharing them!
Once the candy apples are done cooling, he'll be walking around the town with a tray of them and waving down the people he comes across.]
Would you like one? [With a bright smile, Izuku offers one of the apples, keeping a tight grip on the tray with his other hand.] I just made them! You should eat it while it's fresh.
C. Sew, a needle pulling thread
[When Izuku isn't running around town to feed people or training intensely, he finds a shady spot in the Flavo gardens that he settles down in to work on another project of his. This time, he's surrounded by a little pile of fabrics--mostly in various shades of grey.
Of course, it's not easy to sew when the fingers on your dominant hand are a bit crooked. The little plush (is it a bunny or a cat? It's hard to tell when it's kind of lopsided...) is coming along, but every so often, Izuku hisses and shakes out his left hand when he accidentally pricks himself with the needle.
It's been happening a lot. He might need some guidance with this.]
D. Wildcard!
(If there's something else you'd like to do, just send me a PM! I'd be happy to plot!)

[That's a whole missed opportunity.... damn... ]
Maybe the pit will be filled with unicorns?
[hopeful.... pitting one pure against another pure would be funny to see... Okuni starts marching off towards the forest without any warning though, TO THEIR DOOM]
no subject
Why do you want to be cursed?
no subject
I don't really believe in curses myself, so I thought it might be interesting to be proved wrong.
[Okuni looks over her shoulder to smile at Izuku, basically to prove all of his concern right, and the forest takes that as a cue to CURSE THEM BOTH
CURSE THEM RIGHT INTO A FIGHTING PIT, filled with not unicorns... but faerie spectators. why did this happen, Okuni jinxed them both should be the answer but it's probably because Izuku was nice enough to help her in this pit quest!!!
Okuni looks around the pit, face falling a little at the realization that there are no monsters?? only faeries on the outside and Izuku on the inside?? She moves towards Izuku to poke him in the side.]
What do you think is happening? [what kind of colosseum is this, she's never seen one like it before]
no subject
Are you okay, Kumou-san? [That's... the first order of business. And though he glances at her, he also turns and stares warily at the faeries all sitting in the stands and... watching them?]
I'm not sure... maybe they're here to watch us fight the monsters? [You know, whenever they bring the monsters out.]
no subject
Hm. [her weAPONS ARE GONE???] I seem to be missing my weapons.
[no, her weapons are really gone.]
no subject
They took your weapons? Wait, hold on. [He takes a moment to activate his quirk, turning it off just as quickly once he's seen the usual green energy sparking over him.] My quirk's still working... so anything that isn't an innate ability must be forbidden.
[He frowns.] The quest didn't mention anything about that in the description.
no subject
she wasn't aware??? that Izuku had something like that at all!!!]
It's not as if the quest really said anything useful. [She says, eyes still trained on Izuku.] But if they didn't take away your -- quirk then they must still expect you to fight. And it's not like I'm totally defenseless even without my weapons.
[. . . . WHAT IS A QUIRK THOUGH, OKUNI WISHES TO KNOW. But instead, she tries putting her thinking cap on and quite easily reaches a conclusion, since she's usually in the habit of thinking of Worst Outcomes.]
Maybe... the quest wants us to fight each other?
no subject
No way! That...can't be it. [Izuku swallows nervously, letting his quirk fizzle out as he lets go of that energy.] We've never had a quest that involved fighting each other before. They've always involved working together in some way.
[What would a quest like that do for the whole teamwork theme the town's been promoting this whole time?]
no subject
Couldn't fighting each other still count? I did the shooting quest, and that wasn't so much working together as it was one person stood there while I shot at them.
[she could have shot ruva in the face tbh. She looks around the pit once more, gaze alighting on the faeries and fairytale creatures apparently out for Blood.]
Have you ever done any quests where we were being watched?
no subject
That still requires trusting someone enough to let them shoot at you, though. Wouldn't that still count as teamwork?
[While they talk, the faeries grow restless at the lack of action and start booing and jeering at them from the stands. Apparently talking is boring! Go figure.]
No, nothing like this... [Izuku winces as he dodges an apple core that someone throws at them.] H-hey, that's rude!
[but it looks like the faeries could care less about what's rude or not. The pit fills with the sounds of the chant "Fight! Fight! Fight!" that gets louder and louder.]
no subject
Okuni picks up the apple core and tries slinging it back to the faeries, but it probably bounces harmlessly off whatever invisible barrier is erected to protect them from people with huge ice powers or something.]
See, they're chanting! They definitely want us to fight! [Though now she's more tempted to fight the Faeries, but it's fine. Okuni is happy no matter who she fights!!
looks
expectantly
at Izuku]
Try hitting me! If they start cheering, then that's probably what they want us to do. [she'S STARTING TO RAISE HER HANDS INTO A FIGHTING POSITION!!!]
no subject
Still, a promise is a promise, and though he isn't happy about the way this turned out, Izuku shifts into a fighting stance, too. Given the luck he usually has with life in general, Izuku can't even bring himself to be surprised when the faeries start cheering, just like Okuni thought they would.]
Looks like that answers our question. Should we set up some rules first, Kumou-san?
[Look, even if it's a pit, Izuku would rather have a fair fight.]
no subject
What kind of rules? Something like fighting while hopping only on one leg, or not being able to use our hands?
[It's hard to tell whether this is 100% jest or not, but seeing as it's Okuni...]
no subject
I was just thinking more along the lines of... evening things out. They took your weapons, so it'd be fair if you don't want me to use my quirk.
[With his attention on her, Izuku isn't lucky enough to dodge the half-eaten apple that's thrown his way this time. Though he winces, he manages not to turn and scowl up at the stands this time.]
no subject
Fair's boring. I'm much more interested in seeing you in action! So don't go easy on me, alright?
[She beams at Izuku.
Then she swings her arm back and throws the apple as hard as possible towards Izuku's head.]
