That's what I thought! Plus every time I've seen them in pictures they're all huddles up together. Maybe if we bump into them a lot will run away but we'll be luck to grab one.
[Sort of like playing a crane game and just helplessly hoping that dropping it into the pile will reward you with a prize. That's probably worked out for someone at least once.
Emma tilts her head so that her good ear is pointed towards the animal trail. Her actual canon might have forgotten she is missing an ear but I haven't!!]
Maybe? It's our best lead so we should probably follow it...
[She nods. Emma is comfortable with the hunt and erasing the sound of her passing. Of course, that is only getting close enough to shoot and not to wrangle an animal that is probably the same size as her. Maybe some more rope would have been a good idea.
A little way down the track the foliage overhead lessens and the trees become less dense. The distant bleats are no longer as quiet either. Emma stops dead in her tracks when she notices a strange sight. Twigs and small flecks of bark falling off a tree.. and then another tree. The debris following the wake of our targeted unseen force.]
Mister Guren, there. Do you see it?
[She does her best to keep it to an excited whisper, flapping her hand at him so he notices.]
[He manages not to laugh at her excitement, though it's a close thing.] Move quietly, and get the jump on one of them. If you scare the rest of them, they're just going to follow each other like idiots.
Just be careful, in case any of them breathe fire, too.
[An emphatic nod and she's off to quietly work her way around to the other side of the sheep. If they do breath fire it will make them easier to find at least. Now the hard part. They may have found a herd but how does she determine if she's at the back of it or where a straggler is?
Instead she focuses on the ground, watching the frequency of footprints or disturbed grass. As it slows she decides to make her approach. Evidently it works as there is a startled bleat and the sound of animals running off to the side, away from the main herd. Hopefully Guren is waiting in that direction to actually catch however many sheep broke off. And to not get run over. Please don't get barreled into by invisible sheep.]
Hah! That way!
[The main group is also rushing off in a much louder stampede so they better succeed or they'll have to start tracking all over again.]
[Ugh, how can he catch these invisible things!! But he does, in fact, duck down at the sounds, reaching to catch two by the wool. They're having a fit, by the sounds of it, and Guren can't tell which end is which of either of them. They're pulling in opposite directions.]
[These sheep are probably comparable to her in size but it's fine! She can wrangle them up! Did any of them even bring rope? Emma probably has some improvised sheets stuffed into her backpack. That'll work in a pinch.]
Just hold it still for a second longer!
[There's no way to know what's the front or back so Emma just goes in for the kill. She manages to get the sheet around the neck of the sheep but that means close proximity to the head- and the sheep definitely headbutts and tries to bite her. With a hiss she avoids the much more dangerous bite to the face but she's gonna have a lump tomorrow. In a few more quick movements she has the animal tied close to a tree, the worst it can do now is continue to bleat annoyingly.
The second sheep? Uh. Probably gonna have to just sheer that one straight. She digs out her scissors.]
[God, this is the worst kind of quest. He's grumpy, and she's so hard working even about these little things when he just wants to go home... But he was so down for this quest from the start?
It seemed the right thing to do.]
I've got it. Just try not to get yourself hurt. It feels like this one has a few extra legs, and it's not afraid to kick.
[As he is learning, glaring down at the invisible mass as he yanks it back into place.]

Walk quiet, and let's keep our voices down. Just listen and see if you can pick up on anything.
[He gestures, and starts leading the way. The way the track(s) seem to be pointing.]
