[ Fushimi isn't moving, so good luck trying to dislodge him to go fight Guren. You'd think that Fushimi would be doing his best impersonation of someone playing "human touch is lava", but no, he seems pretty content to stay exactly where he is, draped over Yata and mumbling vaguely into Yata's clothing. ]

We failed at something, so we came back... But you didn't.

Blues weren't supposed to eat. Reds weren't supposed to take things. [ Fushimi makes a vague movement that might be an attempt at a shrug, but it's sort of hard to tell when he's still full-on dissolving onto Yata.

He finally pulls himself back up, adjusting his glasses. They've imprinted slightly onto his forehead while he had his face mashed into Yata, leaving a red line across the bridge of his nose, and he isn't making eye contact. ]

There was coffee, so I failed. [ Intentionally. ]

Nothing's happened yet. We just -- came back, to where everyone else was. [ Everyone else that had failed, at least, which is something. ]

Guren failed. [ And he and Fushimi had a nice reunion that was very emotional and Fushimi wants to pretend never happened because it's fine, Yata's back now, Fushimi can pretend he has his life together.

He did it on purpose. We both did. [ For different reasons, admittedly, but in the end... it probably wasn't that different. Fushimi used to think that he was different, that he didn't need people, that he wasn't weak, but man, that seems like a hell of a sorry joke these days. There isn't a single person laughing. ]

I'm -- [ Fushimi hesitates, and there's a moment where his face contorts into something as he tries to swallow down the automatic anxiety at 1. having feelings, 2. discussing those feelings, 3. in an honest way, 4. with Yata, but he finally manages it, after a second. ]

... yeah. [ Fushimi doesn't sound entirely confident about it, because he isn't entirely sure that things are fine, but agreeing is easier when he can avoid eye contact and pretend like they aren't both embarrassed.

Maybe he shouldn't have said anything? He has no idea. Well -- better to say that he missed Yata than have Guren tell Yata, or something. Fushimi would straight up rather die than deal with that. ]

I did all your chores while you were gone, so you owe me.

[ He had to do it all by himself, which means it's... uh, it's actually not done all that great, honestly, he might have basically rolled up like a burrito in bed for a solid three days, but we don't discuss that. ]

[ The answer is no, he didn't cook and he also barely ate, because it turns out nothing tastes as good when someone other than Yata makes it. He's been living off coffee and his own depression. ]

But if it's Yata's cooking, he'll eat. He missed the taste of Yata's weird cooking decisions, like pineapple in hot pot.

He might eat, like, an entire third of a plate, instead of just picking at a single fourth for half an hour. ]

[ Fushimi knowing if any food is back while Yata was gone involves Fushimi having actually, like, touched food, at all, while Yata was gone, which is a dangerous assumption to make when Fushimi's gross caloric intake is frequently in the negatives. ]

[ Honestly, Fushimi is consistently amazed by how much food Yata can shove into his mouth at any given time. Where does it all go? How can someone so tiny wind up eating SO MUCH FOOD?? He could practically go toe to toe with Kamamoto.

Okay, maybe he can't eat that much, but it feels like it in comparison to Fushimi's eating habits.

He sits down in the kitchen, regardless, looking bored. He at least tucks his hair back behind his ear -- it isn't quite his normal hairstyle, but the vague attempt makes him look a little less like a truck hit him. ]

[ Fushimi picks at the food, but he doesn't procrastinate on putting it in his mouth nearly as much as usual. Largely because he is, actually, pretty hungry, and more than that, there's a distinct emotional attachment to eating Yata's food that he can't exactly pretend isn't there.

He still doesn't finish the entire serving, and he carefully picks out a solid half of the vegetables, but listen. Listen. ]
