[ Pyra stands upon the edge of one of the docks, looking outward. Should you approach, she’ll glance at you with a soft, reserved smile. Turning her gaze back to the horizon before it may fade, she asks quietly, ]

[ That gets her to shake-- whatever thought had been crossing her mind. She turns, earrings swaying with the abrupt movement, to look at Maribelle with mild surprise. A hug? Her first question is why. 

But does a why even matter?

Her expression seems to soften, then, and she nods. ] ...Of course.

[She inhales, and then gently puts her arms around Pyra. It's warm, perhaps a bit tight, wit her head ducked out of... shyness? Humility? Grief?]

[ The warmth of Maribelle's sincerity in her words overshadows the touch itself, and Pyra finds that her voice has a slight shudder to it. ] ...As will I.

[ Guilt is the primary emotion of what she feels for missing another, when she shouldn't have had this opportunity in the first place. Somehow, she finds herself able to place a hand upon Maribelle's back, and she begins to pat it comfortingly. ] Perhaps... as silly as it is to say, we'll all find a way to remember each other in our hearts.

... Back home, there was a person... someone else I hold very dear. They once said that our bonds were our true strength.

I believe that to be true. And as such... you shall always be there to give me the strength I need to move forward, and face whatever challenges may come... be it from this place, or the makings of my world.

[ That she could be strength for another to move forward, among the others who Maribelle keeps close to her heart, it's... 

Overwhelming. She's never been told this by another, this thoughtful sentiment. Pyra's silent for a few moments in the embrace, but then her shoulders shudder, and she blinks twice, quickly, to keep her vision from blurring with tears.

It would be far better if Maribelle forgot her instead, but she knows arguing with her wouldn't change her mind. Thus, all she can say is: ] Th-thank you. 

I... don't know what to say, besides saying the same thing... that I hope I can recall your courage and kindness to do what I must to help my world as well.
