t's nearing the end.
The atmosphere in the Town is different now. There's a hush, as if the entire world is expecting something, watching and waiting and prepared for some final outcome --
And then it happens.
The trees come surging forward suddenly, intensely, aggressively. It's a fierce attack a determined attack, branchy limbs trying to take down human and building alike in the Town. But the attack reeks, too, of desperation.
It's the last battle, the last chance to bring about a happy ending. What will you do?

[ even if her tone is biting, it can’t completely disguise the inherent sadness of the words. back in her own world, when she wasn’t hunting, she was sleeping. ever and always waiting for her next chance to strike.
but now neclord is dead. there isn’t much left for her there. ]

glancing around, he spies no further threats in the area (for now). ]
I do not carry restoratives. [ would they even work on her? ] What alternative is there?

[ if only reim were here—or nash, but he always put up such a fuss about her taking what she felt was owed to her for her help. at least reim had been a gracious assistant. ]
Do you bleed?

I do. If you desire it, it is yours.

[ she takes his arm gently, her claws grazing him without any intention to frighten him. ]
You might feel a pinch. [ this is the only warning he gets before she sinks her teeth into his arm. they surely feel longer than they look, piercing his skin through until she’s sure that his body will supply what she needs. ]

though no color returns to her face for obvious reasons, when she lifts her mouth from his arm, she seems better—maybe as if she got a good night’s sleep. ]
It’s not the best I’ve had.
