For Akira
[ By the harbor, Pyra will turn as soon as she hears him approach, smiling as he makes his way towards her. It's one of her smiles that is sad, as usual, but there is relief in her eyes as well. Now that she can see him with all of her emotions back within her heart, now that she can can sincerely apologize to him for all that she had said to him back in the church...
She hopes she can make it up to him. ] Akira, I'm... really glad to see you.
no subject
[Akira's response is casual, but of course anything can sound flippant in text. In reality his heart is both racing and heavy with a mixture of anticipation and dread. He'd kissed Pyra, but then no sooner than that and they'd promised to kill one another. Which, you know, tends to put a downer on romance.
Still, he tries to put a brave face on as he spots Pyra at the docks and approaches. Now, she seems to be back to her usual self.]
Hi, Pyra. I'm... I'm glad to see you, too. [He can't quite meet her eye, embarassed about what happened before.] Are you feeling better?
1/2
And I want to apologize for... everything that I said to you. And threatened.
no subject
It's always sad, but now she lets more of that grief through. ] I was without some of my emotions, I think, but what I said was cruel about you, and about trying to anger you through threatening Ryo.
no subject
[As if his feelings weren't confused already, Pyra's grief is palpable, and naturally he can't help but tear up in response.]
You didn't really want to hurt Ryo, and you didn't hurt me. [Well, physically, anyway. He closes the gap between them, finally lifting his teary gaze to hers.] I already forgave you, so don't feel bad.

For Berkut
But above all, she needs to tell him that he is so much more than what she had called him and said to him. It occurs to her that he already believes himself to be above others and she didn't wound his pride-- but she did insult him. And she has to make that right. ]
L...Lord Berkut? Are you there?
no subject
Because this is his (temporary) residence, Pyra has caught him at a time when he's without his armor.
Berkut's eyes are sharp, mistrusting—the way they should be, he thinks. ]
State your purpose.
no subject
I'm.... here to apologize for all that I've said to you. [ Bowing her head in remorse, she can't exactly muster the courage to look him in the eyes, not when she feels so ashamed. Even if Chroma took away some of her emotions, she still said those things to him. They were said with hate, with disdain for his humanity, looking upon him as if he were some sort of blight upon the world. ] If I could take it all back, I would.
[ She grimaces as she recalls the memory, closing her eyes. ] With the first thing being.... what I said about you being weak.
You're not. At all.
And what I said about your love for your betrothed, that too, I want to apologize for that as well. Love is... it could never make another weak, least of all you. It is something that makes a person strong, and you have that in spades not just from your courage and honor as a knight, but as someone who cares very much for a woman dear to him. [ Pyra dares to raise her gaze, hesitant and cautious, but even by now she's already become a little misty-eyed. ] You're... stronger than me, by far, for loving someone like that, and being loved in return.

For Tristan
It sounds so beautiful....
[ She say with her sad smile as usual, but at least this time she is completely genuine. ] But also... mournful. And lonely. [ She holds one arm in the other, pausing as she glances away. She appears to reflect on something then, but then she looks at him once more, hesitant. ]
...Would you mind my company?
no subject
Still he reaches out, offering his hand to her—no need to be so closed off now, Pyra! You’ve been through worse shit together!
In fact… ]
With you here, Pyra, I am lonely no longer. To what do I owe this pleasure?
no subject
His smile is inviting, just as his music is regardless of his melancholy, and she almost wishes she didn't have to turn this conversation to bringing up something unpleasant. But she must: ] I... wish to apologize for what happened the other day.
I said some truly cruel things to you.
So... I'm sorry. I really, really am.

For Damian
[ After reading that Damian had intended to go into the woods to look for flaxseed for wood polish, and not entierly trusting him to seek someone else's help to go find it (even if he said he would, but he just seems so stubborn!!), she had offered to go with him herself. Sure, they might not know each other that well, but she believes their bond to be strong...
...They come upon a cauldron soon enough, however, and after one (or both!) of them piece this with the recent post of the quests, they begin to search for ingredients in addition to the flaxseed. ] ...What do you think of this? A beehive husk?
Does that get put into a philosopher stone?
no subject
Nevermind having ingredients, nevermind having quantities, measurements--nevermind any of that, it's still "magic." Turning base metals into gold... having immortality... reviving dead plants... making clones. (Like he has any room to talk about suspending disbelief for wild events.)]
The entire point of The Magnum Opus of the philosopher's stone is it's pseudoscience. [The distaste is clear in his voice. But he has returned with--bone meal? A handful of it scooped up into the fold of his cloth belt.] It could be anything. Typically, the more lunacy in the ingredient, the better.
Might as well put it in.
no subject
The more lunacy, you say? [ So, fine, she's picking up the bee husk! And some of that dirt as well. ] So maybe things like... hair? Or nails? [ Sounds like it would make up for the "creepy" part of the story of the stone. ]
But pressurize and heat anything hard enough, and you might just be able to make a crystal out of anything, right? I don't know how a cauldron can do that, but maybe it's simply using a mechanism that we're not quite familiar with.
Many people would call it magic, but I think there's probably just some extra particle that governs these mechanics that make it possible.

backdated to after the event
From her previous experiences, she knows that being rude or mean to people, even while under the influence of Chroma, doesn't mean she may be outright forgiven for something, but she wishes to make things right.
Knock knock! ]
no subject
WangJi himself is actually paler than when they last talked, maybe even paler than when they first met, lips almost colorless, though his eyes are vivid enough to forestall the thought that Chroma has leeched the colors out of him.
He pauses, freezing, because he knows Pyra is close to Wei Ying, and his heart chills with fear. Voice is still calm and steady. ]
Maiden Pyra. Is something wrong?

For Shen Qingqiu backdated to after the event
If not forgiven already, as he has said.
Still, she feels as if she's taking back some control to apologize to him anyway, which is something she needs to feel given that Chroma had taken her most precious emotions away from her.
Knock knock ]
no subject
Ah, hello. [ Ah, I said so much to her! I even attacked her! I realize that we had that nice talk afterwards, but-- Paling just a little, he looked away at first before deciding that he should say something first before anything else. ]
Before you say anything... I am sorry about how I treated you before. [ Shen Qingqiu knows that she would rather to be hurt than to have hurt him, but that hardly makes it okay, okay?! ] Regardless of the reasons, I did attack you and I... I'm sorry about what happened.
